Was a TOBIDA scan at the referral centre helpful along with the liver biopsy in making the diagnosis? thanks

Dear Dr Protheroe. Many thanks for your comment. MRCP showed CBD diameter of 1.5mm which is in normal range and liver was normal. So either it was not helpful in diagnosing or the changes were progressive. I have not heard of TOBIDA scan being done in my DGH. However HIDA is an option but we were following advice from liver unit. Again about liver biopsy – I did not see one happening in that DGH unit but I would need to confirm with them as I am not in same trust now.
